Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins (born in Mexico) is a Mexican American broadcaster. She works for ESPN and works as an SportsCenter News Anchor. She joined ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native bilingual. When she was just nine, Collins's ability to speak two languages has led to her obtaining a job in Miami as a production assistant for Univision. The family moved to Miami following the move from Mexico into the US. Her parents divorced soon after and her mother remarried a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo who passed away from kidney cancer in 2006. In the course of a family holiday in Ohio, the young Collins had taken a position with her older sister. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school, but she had a clear idea of her goals for the future. She went to Mount Union University to determine if they suited her. It was a beautiful campus and provided the education she sought. After completing the requirements for high school, she was accepted into the University to pursue media studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the director for WRMU 91.1 FM, of which she was a part. Mark Bergmann was the person who instilled her confidence, and his passion for Journalism deeply touched her. As a result, she was determined to exceed his expectations, never letting him down.
